FPS Division Community Involvement:

School levies are good for local business.  The FPS Division of the Chamber passed a resolution in support of the Bethel and Franklin Pierce school districts' February 2010 levy measures.

Winterfest 2009 was a success!  Thanks to all FPS Division businesses and volunteers whose support made this event possible--over a 1,000 toys were given away as well as hundreds of new and used children's clothing and coats.

The Frederickson Employment Center is becoming one of mid-Pierce County's fastest-growing economic engines. The vision of the Employment Center is to be a major source of employment in Pierce County. In order to realize this vision, care must be taken in the development of the Employment Center and surrounding properties. The siting, design, and approval of new uses must take into consideration employment density, aesthetics, impact on surrounding properties, future transportation projects, and other factors. Industrial users will be more willing to locate in the Employment Center with future Canyon Road improvements, construction of the Cross-Base Highway, and extended freight rail services. Additionally, the public must be willing to support the infrastructure improvements necessary to make the Frederickson Employment Center an attractive place for industry to locate.
