Joining forces to grow the local economy

University Place and Fircrest are two rapidly growing, suburban business communities in the South Sound. In order to make local connections and encourage more economic growth in the area, business leaders in UP and Fircrest have joined forces with the Tacoma-Pierce County Chamber. Together, they provide networking, services and events to businesses in the region.

"Wake UP!" Monthly forum for business in University Place Fircrest. Last Friday of the month at the University Place Presbyterian Church (8101 27th Street West). Networking begins at 7:30 a.m. Program begins at 8 a.m. Meeting adjourns by 9 a.m.

"A Click A Day to Help the Children Play"
Your Vote is Needed!  University Place can win a $50,000 grant just by voting for the Playground by the Sound project each day in July 2010.  Pepsi is giving away $1.3 million each month to projects that benefit local communities and neighborhoods. 

HERE'S HOW WE WIN:
- July 1, 2010 - Sign up on the "Refresheverything" website, recruit your friends, neighbors, family, co-workers, etc.
- July 1 - 31, 2010 - Vote 1 time each day for 30 days! Make sure your recruits vote too!
- August 19, 2010 - Join us at the Environmental Services Building at 4:30 p.m. to celebrate our victory!
