"On behalf of the Tacoma Public Library, thank you very much for forwarding on to the Northwest Room the historical materials recently sent to you at the Chamber of Commerce. We are especially grateful for the remarkable condition and quality of the documents! Every time we get a contribution such as this, it enhances our ability to bring the past to the Library's countless visitors who use our collections to do research on Tacoma and the surrounding area." Jean Fisher, Librarian, Special Collections, Tacoma Public Library, Northwest Room (July 14, 2010)
“Thanks to the Chamber because [the Spotlight! On Business Veteran-Owned Business Award] will become a growing category as more of our Veterans Retire from wartime service. We will also have disabled veterans and maybe someday, they will have more of the successful small businesses too.”
Lydia Reeves, National Account Mgr. for Government Service, Carlile Transportation Systems, Inc. (June 7, 2010)
"Thanks to Chamber staff, I had a successful meeting with Col. Tom Brittain (JBLM Garrison Commander). We were able to work directly with the joint base voting assistance officers. There’s a lot going on in the world of Military and Overseas elections!
We now have members of JBLM coming out to the Auditor’s office to tour and learn more about the services that we provide to soldiers and dependents." Julie Anderson, Pierce County Auditor (May 13, 2010)
"Thank you so much for all you and the Chamber do to honor our service members. We appreciate the partnership we have with all of you at the Chamber." Keith Kosick, State Public Affairs Officer, Washington National Guard (November 13, 2009)
"I
shared information about your advocacy for the Korean
Free Trade Agreement with everyone here at the U.S.
Chamber, with overwhelming positive comments--thanks so
much! This is truly great." Kathleen
McInerney, Manager, TradeRoots (September 16, 2009)
"A
hearty thank you from my Cornerstone colleague Brad
Berger and me for the wonderful cruise on Wednesday!
Gary, you and the military affairs committee did an
outstanding job organizing this huge event. All
ran like clockwork, and everyone had a marvelous time.
Brad
was on a boat with about 8 people, and I was on the boat
Well Done with about 21. We heard nothing but
delight and praise from all onboard our boats plus the
guests we met at the outstation.
I have
spent this afternoon sending emails with photos I took
to all the guests on my boat as well as the skipper and
his wife and guests we met on land at lunch. That
has been a fun way to relive this delightful event.
What a
marvelous way to say thank you to our military
community. As Chamber members, it was a real
privilege for Brad and me to represent Cornerstone in
honoring and thanking our military guests. Brad
had enjoyed this event in the past, but it was my first
one. You can count on us for our support again
next year!" Deanna Cleaveland, CFP®
Chief Operations Officer, Cornerstone Financial
Strategies LLC (June 19, 2009)
"I'm the economic development specialist at the
City of Tacoma; my primary duties support the 14
Neighborhood Business Districts, but I am also the
associate producer (guest coordinator) for the show
Business Matters on TV-Tacoma.
I recently called up Puget Sound Beverage to book them as a guest and we had a discussion about how they got on the list, which led to a discussion of how I get many of my guest leads directly from the "new member" section of the Chamber's newsletter. He was pleased to discover that his Chamber membership had such a surprising benefit and was even more glad that he signed up."
Shari Hart, Community and Economic Development, City of Tacoma (March 26, 2009)
"Thank you for the statistics. They look good, and
incomes are higher than what we had guessed, so things
are looking up. Thanks for helping out with what may be
a sale for me and business for the City of Tacoma
Building Department." Ronald J. Dupard,
President/Broker, DuVestCo, Inc. (Feb. 22, 2009)
