  • Spaceworks Tacoma helps jumpstart creative ventures, providing over 1,000 HOURS of technical assistance and training for Tacoma artists and entrepreneurs to fill vacant spaces. They engage, support, and coach seventy-one active businesses, igniting economic activity and community involvement throughout the city. This year, Spaceworks opened the “Eleven Twenty Creative House” – an office studio space for creatives and nonprofits.

  • The Chamber's Business Leadership Academy is an opportunity for current and emerging leaders to develop skills that help propel their career while improving their effectiveness as a leader within their company, organization, department or team. During the eleven-week program, students learn effective business practices and gain knowledge from successful leaders that impact the professional community. The goal is to launch passionate thought leaders into the business community; so each participant's experience is tailored specifically to them, assessing their strengths while reflecting on their specific opportunities for growth.

    THE VOICE FOR BUSINESSthe Chamber strives to educate aspiring candidates and political supporters to ensure they are knowledgeable and have a positive understanding of issues that impact the business community. Candidate Academy serves to introduce, educate, and assist business-oriented candidates to understand the elective process. The goal is to enable prospective runners in the successful pursuit of their dream while ensuring they have discernment and the tools necessary to plan, execute, win, and fulfill their role as a trusted public official. This is a rare opportunity that should be considered by any individual interested in serving their community in elected office.

  • The Chamber and local businesses are proud to provide this educational opportunity for students in the Tacoma Public School District. YEA! GUIDES & INSPIRES students to obtain the skills of leadership, innovation, and entrepreneurship. It allows them to conceptualize and launch their own business; this is achieved through the YEA! curriculum, business leader instruction, and mentorship.
