Since CTC opened its Tacoma center, they have become one of Pierce County’s most trusted and well-established points of access for pediatric therapy, particularly for children and families who are low-income and underinsured.
As a member of the Pierce County InterAgency Coordinating Council (ICC), CTC works closely with DDD and partner health and human services organizations to bolster community-wide efforts to coordinate services for families of children with special needs. They work closely with Madigan Army Medical Center to coordinate services for children of military personnel.
CTC's Tacoma team serves nearly 800 children with special needs and their families, including nearly 100 military families, on an annual basis.
Over its 38-year history, Children’s Therapy Center has made a difference in tens of thousands of children with special needs and their families, particularly those who are low-to-moderate-income and underinsured. At the same time, they have earned a reputation for having a drive for social innovation and sustainability to ensure that we can continue serving the most vulnerable members of our communities for many years to come.
