In the past few weeks, our exceptional team has expanded by three members. We are excited to welcome two Spaceworks Tacoma staff members to the team, as well as a Business Development Representative at the Chamber!

Jon Cooper
Business Development Representative, Tacoma-Pierce County Chamber

With a background in machining and logistics, Jon transitioned into business development over five years ago. This shift has allowed him to leverage his hands-on experience and industry knowledge to drive growth and innovation.

​Jon is excited to bring his skills to the Chamber, where he's committed to helping the team achieve its goals and reach new heights.

Kirsten Kreis
Incubator Coordinator, Spaceworks

Kirsten Kreis has been working with entrepreneurs throughout Pierce County since 2022 as the Director of Business Outreach at the Pacific Lutheran University's School of Business. As a life-long learner, entrepreneur, and Spaceworks alumni (2018), Kirsten launched a small business, (Re)style Clothing Company, in Tacoma’s busy 6th Ave Business District. Despite tremendous growth, COVID created changes in the market that were unsurmountable for many small businesses, including (Re)style. 

Kirsten understands the challenging journey of being an entrepreneur and is dedicated to fostering a more connected entrepreneurial ecosystem that provides direct access to business resources including relevant coaching at whatever stage a business is in.

Juli Russell
Intern, Spaceworks

Juli is a junior in high school and attends Industrial Design, Engineering, and Arts School (IDEA), one of the three STEAM sister schools in Tacoma. Although she works mostly within design, she occasionally dabbles in engineering.

During her time at Spaceworks, she will be supporting the team with graphic design and branding. In her free time, she likes to make stained glass pieces and crochet. She hopes to pursue a career in computer science/graphics, and looks forward to improving her design skills through the Spaceworks internship.
